Xiaomi recently launched  the newest member to its entry-level Redmi family. This is launched today in Spain, Europe. The new Redmi 9 comes with bunch of improvements over its predecessor. The phone is quite similar to the lower mid-range Redmi Note 9. However, it is inspired from Redmi K30, or the Poco X2 in some manner, depending on where you live.


The  takes straight hints from the Redmi K30 & Poco X2. It has a matte grip plastic panel with the circular design around the vertical camera module identical to K30. Which was a main highlight of the K30 and the Poco X2, Means design is a strong stand-out factor for the new device in entry-level segment.


The Sports a huge 6.5-inch FHD+ LCD panel with a waterdrop notch design on the top. The phone has slim bezels and the display is comes with a protection of Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It is packed with powerful MediaTek Helio G80 chipset, along with up to 4GB LPDDRX RAM and up to 64GB eMMC 5.1 storage.

The smartphone has a big 5,020mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging. Surprisingly you will get a 10W charger in the box, at least in Spain. It has a Type-C port for charging and data transfer needs.

The Smartphone also improved its camera setup. The back has a quad-camera set-up, main sensor is 13MP, 9MP sensor for ultra-wide-angle, a 5-megapixel macro camera and a 2-megapixel depth camera. The phone has 8-megapixel selfie camera for pictures and video calls.

Pricing & Variants

The Phone offered three colors, Karbon Grey, Sunset Purple, and Ocean Green. It has two variants. The base variant has 3GB RAM + 32GB storage which costs €148 (about Rs 12,724). Top variant has 4GB RAM and 64GB storage which costs €179 (about Rs 15,389.52). We can expect the phone to India soon.
